Photo proceeds support BHIA
Boston Harbor Island Alliance thanks our supporters and friends of the 2011 Gala on Georges Island! After an adventurous evening on the boat and island, BHIA raised more than $290,000 and hosted more than 400 guests. This was BHIA's most successful event to date, and it was not possible without the support of our amazing island partners, volunteers, and of course if our generous sponsors.
The islands have so much to offer, and BHIA strives everyday to ensure that this magnificent resource of 34 harbor islands, right on the front doorstep of the city, will be protected, promoted and improved for our children and our children's children. BHIA works to guarantee that Boston area residents and visitors, especially those from underserved communities, have access to the islands and high quality recreational programs. All proceeds from this event support these initiatives.
